
Passion and enthusiasm for the videogames and high level of self-teaching are what all the team members have in common.
(Gijon, 1974) Enthusiast of the videogames, Nacho started programming BASIC when at the age of 8 a Sinclair ZX81 fell into his lap. As an Amateur, at the age of 15, he published his first game using assembly language for ZX Spectrum. He continued developing for PC as he grounded the studio Mixt Dimension in Gijon. On February ’99 Nacho moved to Barcelona to start working as a team member of Bit Managers ( today Virtual Toys), where he programmed several games for Nintendo consoles: Game Boy, Game Boy Color y Game Boy Advance. At GBA he will be Lead Programmer. On 2003, along with two ex-founders and one co-worker from Bit Managers, founds Abylight where he takes on with the general managing, project managing and lead programming.
(Barcelona, 1972) Talented multidisciplinary creative, Alberto started his professional path in the video game industry on the year 1989 as a graphic artist, evolving rapidly to compose and program music and sound effects, at the extinct New Frontier. Later on, he co-founded Bit Managers where he worked from 1993 until 2003 as a solo musician and started as a designer. He took part on the development of over 40 titles for several platforms. The quality and prestige of his work made him a requested professional by the most important company of the time, Infogrames Europe. Nowadays he is involved in the development process as a QA manager, designer and sound engineer.
(Salamanca, 1971) Ricardo studied electronics along with Daniel Lopez Vallejo, getting involved with the video game industry as a programmer of the company New Frontier (1990-94) and later on as a co-founder of Bit Managers (1994-2004). His professional curriculum includes over 30 published games for different platforms with a worldwide impact. Moreover, he is one of the first Spanish programmers to ever develop for a console: “Bomb Jack” Nintendo Game Boy B/W.
(Barcelona, 1971) Passionate for videogames since childhood, Daniel started programming at 13 years old, being self-taught, with a Sinclair Spectrum 48K. Later, he grounded an amateur group which developed several games for computer Commodore Amiga 500. While studying electronics he joined Bit Managers, where he would be a member for the period 1994 – 2003. During this period he became lead programmer of 13 games and was involved in the development of many more.
(Mieres, 1969) Graphic leader of the group “Mixt Dimension” back on the 80’s and also nowadays in Abylight, he has made himself through self-critic and self-improving, mastering the graphic production of a videogame. Naturally gifted with a creative genius, he has captured his talent in very different artistic disciplines and techniques.
(Barcelona, 1971) Although graduated on Art at Escola Llotja in 1995 and Master en 3D modeling at Fak d’Art in 1996, Sergi has been professionally dedicated to illustration since 1988, design and drawing. On 1998 he started modeling and animating on several national and international projects. On 2006 he turned his career to modeling and animating in videogames.
(Barcelona, 1979) Guillermo graduated on artistic studies at the Escola de Cómic Joso, starting his professional career as graphic designer on 2000. Since then, he has worked as an advertisement illustrator 2002-2004) and comic book artist & writer for several national and international publishers (2004-2007), until he finally joined Abylight to be a member of its artistic department on 2007.
(Valencia, 1976) With a set vocation since childhood in developing videogames, also self-taught, Armando studied industrial electronics and published 3 amateur games before becoming a full professional. After working for Odin Computer Software, in February 2006 he definitely joins Abylight’s team.
(Barcelona, 1978) David discovered his vocation, developing video games, when he first received a computer as a child. As an amateur he started as a graphic artist and musician, doing some programming too. During his studies of computer engineering he took the opportunity to program a videogame engine as a final thesis. Professionally he started out in Gameloft Ibérica, becoming a member of Abylight by mid 2005.
(Barcelona, 1982) Kike graduated on 2006 in computer engineering at UPC. As a final project he developed a video game which obtained a punctuation of 9’5 out of 10. One year later, 2007, he graduated on the master “Design and Video game creation” at UPC Foundation. Professionally he started working for Abylight at the beginning of 2006, where he has actively participated in the development of several video games for mobile and Nintendo DS.
Daniel Pico Álvarez(Gijón, 1974) Part of the group “Mixt Dimensión”, he has been dedicated to the creation free lance of music for independent groups. With Abylight’s entrance to the development for consoles, Nintendo DS, Dani rejoins the videogame industry.
